I'm passionate about serving our neighborhood because being part of this community has been one of the happiest experiences for my family. I'm eager to contribute further by representing you.
Community, to me, means connection and relationship building. It's about helping one another, big or small. If your house has ever flooded at midnight, chances are my husband Wes was there with the wet vac! That's the Lotus I know and love, and that's the spirit I want to build on as a board member.
I've already been actively engaged in building and strengthening these connections. I co-admin the resident-run social media accounts, working hard to ensure everyone has a voice and over the years adapting the way I help run the platforms to better suit the community's wants and needs. I have made it my mission to keep information centrally located and easily available at the click of a button. My love for our neighborhood shines through in everything I do. I also run the Mommy and Me Club and the Lotus Kids Club and help out with the Woman's club events when asked. I work hard to organize many ongoing classes and fun events like our Easter egg hunt and pumpkin picking with pony rides. With due diligence, negotiation skills and persistence, I was able to get the transportation department to entertain relocating the bus stop without the liability waiver requirement, this request is currently under a secondary review by the department and I hope to have it in place for the start of the next school year. From block parties to bylaw questions, I strive to support my neighbors in any way I can.
With over 20 years of experience in the financial sector, specifically in real estate lending, I have a deep understanding of property values and the intricacies of our investments. I am acutely aware of the significant responsibility that comes with taking the lead in protecting our community's assets.
Every statement I make is guided by this awareness, as I consistently consider how choices will impact the community as a whole and the families within it. If given the responsibility of being on our board of directors, this practice will continue. Each and every decision made will be made with you in mind.
If elected, I'll bring this collaborative spirit to the board, making decisions with the care for each other and our neighborhood in my focus. I've been a strong advocate for homeowners' rights, and I will continue this important work. My vision is a community for the people, by the people, where everyone has a seat at the table.
I hope to earn your vote and the opportunity to serve you and make a positive impact.
Please don't hesitate to reach out—I'm always happy to connect! Thank you for your consideration.
